take it into halfords, they should be able to test it for you on their audio board, I know we can at my store, and at my old one.

Just a thought couldn't be linked in anyway to a new battery?
Or my indicators randomly flashed to fast to start with then suddenly sorted themselves out?

Mate ive just watched them videos, and to be very honest it looked like the CD in your headunit was jumping.
If you look at your screen on ur HU, if you look on either side you have digital VU meters. Every time the music cut out, those VU meters went all the way down.
This indicates that the wiring is ok. I had this before, and with the radio tuned in the stereo was fine.
Turned out that my din cage rattled quite violently every time the bass hit, and made the unit jump. All i did was remove the HU and put it back in, and it sorted it.
Honestly, looking at your screen it looks like the signal from the CD stopped outputting.

Richie was waiting for your input...
actually when i took my HU out today one of the sides of it wasn't fixed in properly and doesn't appear to have been for a while.... and the CD on that song is actually jumping - didn't realise it until i put another CD in...
I still had issues when all music wud go and i'd only pick up the deep bass but it appears to have cleared up now i got a new Loom as mine was very messy after me re-earthing re-powering .etc and also a new fuse holder for my power so it seems ok but i'll keep u updated all seems fine for now though
