Just put my x14xe back in the car after rebuilding it, wired everything up, turn the ignition on, and the engine management light is flashing, I cant hear the fuel pump running. Turn the key round and the engine turns over and occasionally starts, runs for about one second, and then cuts out!
Its really annoying because the car looks amazing and I cant wait to drive it but it wont run for long enough!

Its the immobiliser.
HAve you had the key apart at all? Still using the same ecu etc??

just on the off chance, are the fuel lines on the right way? i made this mistake - lol, worth a check though

definatly immobaliser if the light is flashing
you need the matched ecu- chip and ignition ring from the same car for it to run

try the spare key?
failing that, i think i have an X14XE ecu with immobiliser chip and ring if you need it
