i have just been out to check my leads and spark plugs.
this is what i done, can someone confirm that it is rite.
took the spark plug out
plugged it into the lead
turned over the engine.
i checked three of them and didnt get a spark but the car runs. it is running rough though. should i go and buy another set of spark plugs?

you need to ground the plug as well for it to spark !!!
A mainifold bolt or and piece of metal that earthed on the car will do be carfull tho as and hold the lead/plug with a decent pair of pliers as the electric shock off it can be nasty
you normally tell a plug condition by the colour. Theres a chart in the back of most haynes manuals

i've had one of a spark plug before and it wasnt something i want to make an everyday thing.
