Okay guys, a few of you will know I've been trying to get my hands on a set of new clocks for my car.

I'm wanting to do this due to mine not having a rpm counter.

Now the trouble is, I'm a rookie when it comes to looking under the hood. so cannot work out what mine is.

Now, I need to work out if mines cable driven or electric!

I've been discussing in u2u that the possible clue is electric clocks start @ 0 mph, and cable driven clocks start at 10 mph.

anyone fitted either and can confirm this?

just take the clocks out, if there is a big fat wire going into the back of them, they are cable driven, if they come out with no probs and no fat wire into it, electrically driven

I believe that all cable driven start at 10 and eletronic start at 0 as you say. I know mine are cable and my old and new set both start at 10 mph
