battery drained week before last and left it standing till i could sort out a new one. Fitted a heavy duty one tonight and the car doesnt start, it cranks over but doesnt even kick. There is a ticking noise coming from the ECU(i think). Must be immobiliser related but dont know what do to from here, any ideas?

nope, it stays on but the LED on the hazard switch which is either for alarm(factory) or immobiliser goes mad when the ecu ticks

hmm. EML would be flashing if it was an immobiliser problem.

the lock mechanism was jammed on the drivers door which triggered the immobiliser. lock just needed abit of persuasion
