worth noting that is is also very worthwhile to block off the breather pipe on the black plastic tube round the back of the engine and vent that pipe to atmosphere or a catch tank, saves the tb and icv getting gunked up again

well if you saw the shit that goes into my catch tank you would never connect your breather pipe into your inlet ever again, such a shit design.

when you undo the top inlet, where it connects to the tb bracket do u undo it from the back of the tb or the front?
as i tryed to remove my icv (with the tb still attached) but had no joy as i couldnt get to 1 of the torx bolts.

To remove the ICA or TPS i would take the throttle body out. Saves you busting your knuckes trying to get into little spaces. The 4 bolts that hold the throttle body to the bracket & top inlet are removed from the front. See the photo of my ignition coil....you can see one of the throttle body bolts is half out.

them fixings look different to mine bud, almost looks like on mine that theres 4 nuts fixed to the plastic inlet then the bolts go from the backside of the tb into the plastic inlet.
weird
as my engine is the c16xe the same as yours
