What are these?
Are they for some sort of cover like the dbilas ones?

I take it the two outlets circled in red are vacuum take offs for the brake servo??
The blue one for the intake temp sensor?

Are these both breather pipes?

Is this for the EGR Valve??

Thanks
Rob

1st one is what the fuel rail attaches too
2nd one are out lets for the IAC valve (red) and the blue bit is for the vacum servo
3rd IAC inlet side i think or breather bits
4th EGR valve
PS i have fitting instrutinos some where too, out of interst how much did you pay?

How are they connected to the ICV (IAC idle air control?)
Also i dont have a EGR so can i just use my blanking plate?
Also whats the outlet pipe for above where the EGR would go?

Are those two rod things not for the injector rail? in the first pic?
Or does the rail just sit freely?
Theres probably a throttle stop screw on the body linkage to set an idle speed, but it will be a permanent speed i.e. the ecu wont be able higher the idle for cold starts etc
The hole circled in blue looks to be the brake servo vacuum connection, needs a union fitting.
And the ones in red i'd suspect are the idle control valve hose connections, looking at them they look to bypass the throttle butterflys, to allow air in for the engine to idle.

oh... ive blocked that off and use the two outlets circled in red for the brake servo?
How the hell do you join them to a ICV? Do i need to get a different icv that has a hose connection rather than one that bolts to the TB?

Well, seeing as you no longer have one TB, yeah, you'll need a icv that has a hose, that you can T into each body to supply then with enough air for idle. Something like 20xe's use.
Thats probably what came with them as new, as dave mentioned, idle valve kit.
The red connections im 95% sure will be for idle, bypassing the butterflys and feeding air behind them. Ecu then injects fuel just before the valve.
The blue one has to be for brake servo, looks in correct position for one.

makes sense now.
Will the standard ecu be ok running a 2.0 icv?
Dont know if connections are the same.

its basicly a block that you mount the icv into with one pipe going to atmosphere and another that t's off into the manifold/tb's. wont run without the propper icv fitted, I have tried.

Dont suppose you have a pic do you dave?
The 2 outlets on the inlet plenum... are they just breather pipes??
Seems strange to have 2 thats all.
Im going to be running my oil breather pipe from the head to my oil catch tank so ill just have to block them off if thats all they are fo.

unless one is an oil breather and the other is an air pipe for the icv inlet?
Because the ICV would take air from before the butterflies and put it in after to allow the engine to idle while the butterflies are closed.
