had my laptop for bout 2 months is ok on net but when i start looking at my own pictures on it and moving them around it gets really slow.

ive ran virus scans any other ideas?
is it possible to add more ram to this laptop as its the ram tat gets all used up not the cpu

some people deem 1GB of RAM alittle underpowered for Vista so it might be worth an upgrade, should be possible as long as you find out which kind you need. nows a good time too, as its relatively cheap

as I told you when you asked a week or so ago...check the RAM it is meant to have is installed properly. Then check if it has one 1GB stick (so a free memory slot) or two 512mb sticks.
If its two 512mb sticks then you'll have to buy two 1GB sticks to get a decent upgrade. If it has a spare slot then can get another 1GB stick.

i think ill upgrade it tbh as long as its possible, but why only on moving files

easy when you know how but ill take it into work and get my friend in it to have a look

I would imagine you can upgrade it TBH. If its a case of just another 1GB stick, or two 1GB ones is the difference though.

Right, looking online it appears it has 2x512MB sticks.
You will need to buy 2x 1GB sticks such as these here

some website that said you can have a max of 2GB but currently have 1GB which was 2x512mb!
