Wanting to upgrade them from standard but don't want to buy components and mess around with crossovers etc. Can I buy a set of tweeters and a set of speakers and just wire them to original wiring thats there? If so is there any particular speakers I need to go for? Will just be running them off my headunit for now

The wires will just connect to your old ones on the front door speakers normally get a connector that clips in.
Sometimes they don't work rather well so strip down the wires and connect them up.
Shouldn't be a problem!

Alpine Type R are good. Dont look at wattage when ur buying pay more attention to price and make. Piooneer are ok aswell. Things aroung the price of FUSION stuff id stay away from cos theyre crap.

Yeah got some 150W pioneer speakers with tweeters. Havent heard them yet, but if the pioneer subs are anything to go by they will be a great job for the money. Try ebay as ive heard of boys getting dirt cheap alpine type r's etc which normally go for £120 or so

Whatever ur willing to fit. My pioneers are the same size as the standards, but if ur good with ur hands u cud make bigger 1's go in. Same size as standards wud be alot easier.

if you buy a set of components you can use the standard capacitor of the tweeters already fitted instead of a crossover (its like a budget version of a crossover - not as accurate but if not amplified, its not going to make much difference)
thats what i've done anyway and between crossovers/capacitor it didn't make and noticeable difference (although i used crossovers when the fronts were amped)
might be cheaper than buying co-ax's and tweeters seperate
