Hey guys, just i the process of buying a Corsa Sport, but befor i lay down the cash there's something bothering me, on first start up theres quite a loud rattle, sounds like its coming from near the belts? im sorry cant be more specific, after 10 mins or so, the noise s gone and the engine rubs sweet

Any advice would be massively helpful, thanks in advance

like a tapping noise?, and does it get louder/faster on higher revs?

ohno it could be the big end bearings if so don't buy it or whap a massive amount off the price

exactly the same with what happened with mine!

had this tapping noise come on, left it for a week, decided to book it in for a service/cambelt change!, however the day before this, i broke down!! cambelt snapped! now its buggered in garage at the moment!

so im guessing this is the problem with the car you are buying, cambelt is on its way out!, do you know when it was last changed?, just change it soon as if you buy it!
