1.2 16v engines are multipoint arent they? If so then you will need to change your fuel pump and maybe tank?

im only speaking from experience of using the site and what i've pick up but i belive converting form 8v to 16v you need a different fuel pump cos of the different injection process.....maybe wrong await confirmation....

Going from 8v to 16v pretty sure you will need fuel pump.

my reasoning behind this is that you have different conversion kit mounts for a 1.2 16v and 12v corsa when doing an xe transplant compared to the early 1.2 8v's so surely the mounts will be different

i think you mean the V5. You would have no need to change the VIN plates

You will need different mounts, the ECU and transponder chip off the matching engine, exhaust manifold, mpi fuel pump and a full matching exhaust (the cat is on the downpipe from the manifold on the 1.0 12v's and the 1.2 16v's.

It may work out more expensive.... and personally I wouldnt recommend it at all.

worst part will be the wiring as the ecu sits on the engine in th 16v and in the footwell on th 8v.

Tbh it really isnt worth it, would be a better and cheaper result to put a 1.4 8valve in and I doubt it would be any dearer to insure!

both the 1.0 12v and 1.2 16v the ecu's are in the engine bay...

epas ecu is in the footwell, where the ecu normally goes
