right one of the gears of the diff has blown in half... if i remove both the driveshafts and the diff cover will it just drop out and i can slid a new one in?
if not how hard are they to replace?

just but a new box, if you havnt got alot of internal gearbox knowledge, it will never run the same

well is it a engine out job for gearbox?
cant you just slide it out and slide the whole new assembly back in

drop the anti roll bar, and the nearside hub, then jack the engine up take the gearbox mounts off the body and lower the engine down,
thats just in general, you shouldnt have to take the engine out, ive done it before

tbf you can change the planet gears without even taking the diff out!
