just installed a new sub with kenwood amp but there is hardly any noise from it and the sub sort of pulses. the only way i can explain it is it goes dum..dum..dum..dum evey half a second ????

any help would be greatly apprectated to help solve this and get it working correctly cheers!

My 6x9's were doing something like this, the wires turned out to be the wrong way round!

Try this?? (i don't know much, but worth a go?)

first make sure you have a good earth, you need it attached to bare metal bodywork.

have you got the gains turned up enough?

are you running your RCA cables next to your power cables?

where did you run the cables?

iirc down the passenger sill is part of the loom so ideally run the power cable from battery to amp there and also the remote lead from the hu with it..

then run the rca left and right output cables from the hu to amp down the other sill and that should eliminate any interferance...

the rca and remote are on one side and the power cable is on the other. the earth is connected to bare metal.

the gain is turned up enough but at lower gain it stop with no noise :S

i had this with my kenwood amp.turned out that the solders on the rca conections inside the amp had broke and were making contact intermitantly.
