Using an F20 box on a LET conversion, could I keep my current M-Tech XE conversion kit, shafts etc running in the Corsa, and not have to buy other bits?

I'm pretty sure that it will soon munch a F20 box though, especially if it's running higher power than standard.

I belive you could keep everything the same. Only the gearbox mount is needed to be changed if you going to an F28

yeah your parts now will fit it mate and its a big debate on the box tbh some people say they are fine others say they are shite the main thing i would say as if you are always on the motorway then the f20 will sit at about 3k on boost at 70 so not the best thing really mate

My mate's got a LET with an F20, it's been in going on three years now, for the 1st 2 years it was running about 248bhp, but he got it chipped about 9-10 months back, now it's upto about 306, never had a problem with the box. Apart from forgetting to put oil in it, when the conversion was done, realised as he was driving home down the M1 at about midnight and it started whining, then went on a hunt for gearbox oil, ended up putting some Mobil 1 in just to get it home still going strong tho

Mounts are identical. Shafts will fit all the big block boxes, ie, F16/18/20/28.

Don't expect the F20 to hold out as you say, I am in the same boat!

clearly you havnt owned a car with this setup then. revs dont effect boost. its the throttle angle that will make the turbo spool.

F28 could work out cheaper in the long run (motorway miles etc)

You can see what he means though, while your trying to cruise along I find it irritating when I seem to be fighting against the turbo spooling up.

mine sits at about 3k while im doing 70 with the F28 because its on 14s with low profile tyres, and thats with my speedo calibrated.

The car doesn't see many motorway miles now... It's not a daily any more!

As long as I won't be swapping the box again after a couple of weeks i'm not that bothered.

Think I'll be ordering a new one instead of re-attaching that one as you can see the crease in it
