My corsa is a 1.4 16v ecotec which has been super chipped it had a standard exhaust system and ran fine, i fitted a s/s system with a decat and now its having problems, when you put your foot down it hits major flat spots and starts bogging then pops and bangs and spits flames out the back, iv changed the plugs and it still does it, and ive just changed the lambda sensor and its continuing to do it i havent got a clue now
Any ideas??

Has it been 'chipped', like a chip in the ECU or has it had a propper 'remap'??

im not too sure.
but i think vauxhall corsa engines rely on backpressure in the exhaust system.
fitting a decat/straight through system may have disturbed the backpressure resulting in a loss in power.
need to have silences and a cat to keep pressure at a good level.
hopefully someone will be able to expand with more detial.

should have done the remap AFTER you put the exahust system on as well mate.

I have a straight through stainless system on my X16XE. no CAT, just the backbox. Midrange isnt as torquey as before, but the top end screams. Havent had any problems with a loss of backpressure with this system on.
GT190 is correct about remapping after the modifications have been carried out. This allows the mapper to map to the exact setup of your car.
Is the EML on??
