anyone know what i need as my car only wants to get 4 out of 5 gears no matter where you put it
it either misses 1st and 2nd or 5th.
Would it be like this if the selectors in the actual gearstick housing (inside the car) were off at all?

mate i couldnt tell you im jsut trying to tidy up all the naggles.
my gear linkage hd been cut/welded to shorten it instead of spinning one of the uni-joints for a better reach.
then it snapped and ever since i havnt been able to get all gears.

if you are using a spacer between the rear gearbox mount and the gearbox then you need to cut and extend the U shape part of the linkage by 15mm.
if it is spaced and not extended then it is probably hitting the speedo cable

have a look underneath at the rear mount, there will be two 19mm bolts going in to the box, now look between the mount and the box and there should be a shiny piece of metal.
if there is then look from the top at your gearlinkage around where the speedo cable is, it should bend round the back in a U shape, at this point look for evidence of it being extended.

you DONT have to cut anything on a nova gear linkage, just flip the white nylon bush around, and job's a good'un
