got a small problem, when i start the car it run's fine on cold start at around 1100 rpm but after about 10 minutes the rev's will drop to normal about 900 rpm and it will start miss firing.like it's running on 3 cylinder's,but then the rev's will rise again and it will be ok.also if you giv it a rev it will clear.i'm thinking cts?any other opinions or anyone had the same problem?

Could be the lambda sensor but were only guessing really, u know anyone with a wideband? Could take it to a garage to see what the AFR is doing on tickover, the lambda could be telling the ECU its lean so it chucks more and more fuel in

Misfires under load are normally ignition related (plugs/dizzy) because it harder for the spark to jump the gap, ignition isn't really taxed on tickover. Do you get any soot or a smell of fuel just before it starts to misfire? Obviously a worn HT lead can cause a misfire at any load though so make sure theyre tight

If you do change the lambda then Id buy your old one for a tenner, just want the plug from the end of the wire if anyone has one lying around?

check the connections on the coil, try spraying the points on your leads with silicone spray, not wd40 it will corrode the material of the ht lead, check your plugs and that the electrode gap is correct, even though you had your leads on your old engine theystill might be nackered, also try taking the dizzy cap off and check the points inside and give them a clean up, you may just need your ignition timing adjusting or something like that
