Is it needed? as I am sure I have seen a few people without them fitted.


As mine is rusty and looks shite/messy

Take it off mate you dont have a barrel cat like the 1.2 16v so it shouldnt warm up the engine bay like a boiler.

it does sit quite close to the rad and that silver hose you can see in the pic though

i took it off on my old corsa, never had a problem

nope none at all, its only 3 bolts i think. take it off for a few days and see if it makes a difference, only a 2 mins job

Thats the pipe for your PAS, if you do remove it make sure that it cannot touch on the manifold as it will burn through and scare you silly with white smoke - been there, done that!

Exactly what happened to mine coming off @ Chorley jct 8...

Thought the engine had gone+ it was that pipe pissing red fluid all over my enigine + manifold...

Was just going to paint it but when I went to remove it fell into two peices almost
