Author ecu light comes on and car goes really slow??

c20xe engine, just put into my corsa and the ecu light comes on a few minutes after starting it up and it goes alot slower after it comes on but before it comes on it goes lk an animal..

why?

have you done a blink code test by earthing the brown/yellow wire?
