I have been reading up and it apears to be a problem with ICV when fitting dbilas bodies. I dont quite understand the problem so does someone care to enlighten me pretty please?

You no longer have a standard tb, so have no idle valve......
Originally the DBilas kits can with a small box thing that allowed you to keep the idle valve fitted, to keep the ecu happy.
Of course with decent management you wont need a idle valve and will just set a manual idle and leave it at that.

My problem is that the bodies will be fitted, then a month or so later the management fitted and I used the car everyday. Any ideas what to do?

Rite.... would it be possible to adjust the boddies so that they are a little bit open on idle/ over run? rekon it would work?

You could have a go at this I guess.
Interfering with the throttle opening in some way e.g. shortening throttle cable. I dont know how this would effect fueling during start up if fuelling is as standard. (I guess you'll find out soon enough!)
Also, given higher revs gear change reaction might be a bit lumpy/jerky while this measure in place.

well there is a bit on the bodies that you can adjust so I guess I wont have to shorten the cable. Anyone else got any input

Yes you can just adjust the throttle stop to get it to idle without the icv.
But Mr Ecu wont be happy

ECU light will be permanently on because it will have no control over the engines idle speed.
Id leave the bodies off till you get a proper ecu tbh....

hmm thats a point. get propper management fitted with the current spec then fit the bodies. that way the car will defo run properly and I can just take it back up to jamsport for a remap then.
Cheers Pal
