what would be the best way to remove body filler once its gone hard

Nitromors will soften it and take it all off after a few gos. A flap wheel on an angle grinder will do it too and so will a wire brush attachment...

Did you apply too much and you want to knock it back? Or Are you on about removing the whole lot and starting again?

Do you have any pictures so we can see what you've got to deal with?

removing it and starting again, dont really like the shape iv got now and been trying for weeks to try getting it righ so want to start from scratch and start again









there is a bit more because i have done some more work on it since

Are you the guy who asked a few weeks back how to do it? I said you should smooth into the original spats. It's a good job you're taking it all off because even if you did get the shape right you will find that it will all crack and sink...

Your best bet is to take all that back with a flap wheel on a grinder and a wire brush on a grinder...

Heres how I did mine, they are so solid you could jack the car up on them...

Bonded the arches on with some PU adhesive (Tiger Seal)



Went over the top with some chopped strand matting and resin to give it strength and to bridge the gap over.



Filled over the lot...



Smoothed it all over:

cheers for that mate, the fiberglass you used was it the strips or was it the stuff you get in a bodyfiller type tub
