The back part of my rear bench is stuck on the first little catch bit, been like that since I bought the car. Basically it seems as though something's gotten stuck somewhere inside the back of the seat because it moves a little bit when you hold the buttons down, but you can't get it all the way back.

There's a gap a few cm's between the parcel shelf and the seat to get an idea of how far it is.

Would it be possible for me to fix this myself with the right tools, or does it need to go to a garage? Cheers.

Try pushing the buttone down harder, I can push mine down until it feels like it has stopped and the seat moves slightly. but it has to be pushed a tiny bit more (really hard)

I have tried pushing it down as hard as I can but it doesn't make it any better

It feels like one of the sides is stuck as it is stiffer on that side, I think it's the left, not that it makes much difference

This thread was in the related bit at the bottom and they just say to batter it so I might try and get it out then in again in a bit http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=208081

Oops, never updated this.

I held the buttons down and kicked it and it came off, turned out that the pin that holds it in place on that bar that sticks out with holes in it doesn't go in far enough when you push the button in, even if you press really hard. I tried putting it back again but it got stuck even further up

Need to batter it again and then take the cover off the seat and have a look I reckon. File the pin if it comes to it.
