in around 2 weeks time im going to start rebuilding the c16xe in my gsi,
iv got a full gasket set and also a set of new hydraulic lifters, set of rings, big end and main shells, oil pump, arp rod bolts, water pump and cam belt kit
iv also got a x16xe lower inlet and throttle body as im fitting a powerbox at the same time. iv cleaned the new throttle body out and its not very big at all so i was thinking is there a throttle body off another engine that will fit in its place?
also why does the x16xe throttle body have to be used and not the c16xe one?

you can get bigger ones from courtenay or you can bodge a v6 one on but im not sure how. you need a x16 cable for the x16 tb as the fitting for the cable is different

iv got the cable aswell but why do you need a x16xe one? ill have a look around for a v6 one i think

am i right in saying the v6 ones dont have the icv built in, would it be possible to use a icv off a redtop engine and pipe it in myself
