Hey There,
I have just decided i wish to change the engine in my 16v sri (1.4), got a feeling the head gasket is on its way, and it isn't fuelling right with the custom inlet manfifold i have.
Easy option is: Redtop...I have the money it's just i don't have the experience to do it myself...so the theres the question of where do i get it done and how much....
Could any please help me?
Just need to know wether redtop is the right option/how much and where?
Im in shropshire but will travel to get it done if need be...midlands area...etc

Regarding the question whether it's the right option - it is more a matter of opinion, some people would say a 1600 tuned is better as weighs less over the front end, but on the other hand, some others would say go for the XE for the torque etc...

I assume this would be the astra or corsa sport 1.6 16v engine?
Still unsure...wont have the pulling power of the old cav or calibra engines?
2.0l 16v?
not sure...and still have no idea of where to get it done!!

Yea, would be from Corsa, Astra or equivalent...
I wouldn't bet on it, look at Dave A's x16xe, 201bhp and i'm sure there is a torque curve just as good in his garage somewhere...
There are plenty of people on here that could do it for you, or at least know someone who would do it for you

I wish...but then id be investing in all th tools etc...would really rather pay...and know it aint going to be bodged..and a bit of knowledge is going into it...better safe than sorry!
I heard of a place called shropvaux but cant find it!

engine mount
shafts cv
brakes
hubs depend on what shafts use
exhuaste ect
