sometimes worked for me - worth a go
put key in ignition and turn it to 1st or 2nd position and push on the wheel ( with nut on still tho) it then springs off

leave the nut on till its flush then pull as hard as possible as someone hits the nut with a hammer

Safest and easiest way is with steering wheel puller, will only cost £10-15

yeh leave the nut on slightly so you don't end up with it in your gob when it comes off. i found pulling one side then the other plenty of times worked it off the splines quite easily.

bang a set of 2 litre ones on for the same price, and they will bolt straight on the same as the 1600 calipers

just put your feet on the dash, leave the nut in on the last few threads and pull like a son of a bitch.
Its what I did.
