No massive difference. The LG has a better contrast ratio, but other than that it's whether you prefer LG or Samsung, and their appearance to you. Both will do the job.
On paper either will do nicely if you're after a small TV, but unless you see them side-by-side you won't be able to see which has the better picture.
I'd go with the LG for the contrast and slightly better looks.
I wouldn't recommend LG for their bigger panels -- constantly hear bad things about them.
