hi folk got a chance of a 1.8 16v from a corsa c at a good price. what is involved in doing it? i can use my gearbox and shafts? what about mounts? also what are they like to wire up? i need to let them know asap if i want the engine so any help would be get much appreciated.

the X18XE1 (99-01 vectra/astra version) is very easy to fit.. (I have one in my Corsa).. The Corsa C Z18XE is physically the same but the engine mangement is far more complicated..

yeah its the management that am worrying about. what is involed? the engine is still in the car at the breakers so will can get the loom. but am guessing it not as easy as swaping the loom and joining a few wires? my car is a 1.4 16v sport will my fuel pump run it ok?

Your fuel pump is fine, you will need an external fuel pressure regulator though.. (its all in my thread that warren posted the link to).

yeah thats not a problem. yeah i just read it all. seems like an easy enough conversion. i have done a 2.0 and 1.8 in a nova so should manage this.
