do you have to bleed your lines etc after doing a petrol filter? i forgot to fill the new one with petrol before fitting it

could this be why my car wont start? i took the small cap off the fuel rail to see if im getting petrol properly and theres none coming out it at all and thats with the ignition on aswell

there should be a bleed nipple on the end of your fuel rail, push that in and will suck the fuel to the rail

it wasnt a push one mate its a little screw off type and ive took it off and no petrol comes out

all fuel rails you have to screw a cap off first then push it in after, it looks like a tyre valve

You don't need to fill the filter with petrol before fitting.
Have you fitted it the correct way round? Filter's are directinal.

yes the filter is on properly i dont know if maybe ive crossed the petrol lines putting them onto the new tank?

You'd need to fit a pressure guage in the fuel line somewhere to test your fuel pressure.
