Finally got it off today
There were a couple of bits that didn't come with the new mounts, so had to get the old ones off anyway.
Last night I chucked a load of vinegar in the bit the nut sits in, and left it until I got home from work. It seemed to do the trick because after trying a couple of techniques, it came off
Tried it the same way with the other one and it came off straight away. It must have been the vinegar that done it, because I tried doing it this way yesterday and Weds.
New/old springs and mount bits:
The bits that didn't come with the new mounts:
The rubber bit at the top of the spring didn't come with the new mounts either, didn't think to put it in that pic.
The finished article
