being given a 2.0 8v carlton but its rwd will i still be able to mount the engine in my 1.4 8v corsa ?? and does anyone know if the powersteering connects straight up on these engines ?

2.0 8v though be slow as death(for a carlton)

Aren't the engines in straight? bit of a mental conversion, I also don't think the box will fit, well not easily, could be a chance to cut your floor out, run the prop up to the back, 4wd haha

but again, keep the carlton it's becoming very rare.

yeah engines in straight but think its a c20ne or c20seh so i was hoping i could turn it around remount it and get a fwd box

havent seen it yet just goin on what ive been told but he is a mechanic so i should hope hes knows the difference between an 8 valve and a 16

it will be a carlton. 16vs were not around then. they had quite a few engines in them. 2.0 8vs and v6s

the engine will go in a corsa yes if you fit the fwd box to it

you can mount anything in a corsa if your good with a welder and it fits in the bay

done a little searching on the web and the engines used are either c20nej c20ne c20se for the year it is. so shouldnt i be able to bolt normal mounts to the block

need to change the sump,flywheel and box obviously as its rwd at the min,need big block mounts for it aswell .
thats all i can remember off the top of my head
