Hi there, anyone has performance tuned this oil-burner?
Chips? Tuningboxes? IŽve also heard that you could just exchange the stock AFM (Air Flow Meter) for the 2.2DTI version..

Cheers

Gleistung - I presume u've got the DTi ?

Sorry - cant help u with ur query , Id like to know too tho.

But your accelerator pedal - has it got about 1-1.5 cm of travel at the top before it actually revs ?

Also, how slow are you able to go in 2nd ? I can't go any slower than 10mph before having to push clutch, or slow down for 1st

u can change the intercooler for a bigger one.

this is about all you can do asd nothing is available for it.

First off try the Irmscher exhaust system. A Superchip will take u up to approx 85 to 90 bhp if rolling road tuned.
Dunno about accelerator pedal trvel, mine is okay but brakes not too clever, it doesnt seem to want to stop quick.
Also, try a lightened flywheel for throttle response.
Mine will keep up with a BMW up to just over 100 - our Group Leader at work has one.

I wouldnt say the DTi is crap to tune - I cant complain.

Keep us posted how u get on

dont lighten the flywheel on a diesel, it will do more harm than good, you will loose all torque.
you can only up the boost as much as the chip will do, its the problem with ecu controlled td's, its easy to adjust too what level you want on mechanically controlled ones. just stick with chip and larger intercooler.

Mikeboy

Yes I got the DTI Sport version. Here are some pics of my Corsa:
http://www.pbase.com/gleistung/corsadti

The only mod iŽve done it up to now was to bypass the CCV (Crank Case Ventilation) system. On the VAG TDI engines, you gain up to 8bhp by doing so.. Not sure if the Corsa gains as much..but I doubt it..

Maybe iŽll give the 2.2DTI engine AFM a shot..since it costs ~150€ and seems to make quite a difference according to a fellow DTI owner..
After that IŽll try a modified chip.
IŽve also heard that the boost could only be increased by a mechanical adjustement on the turbo itself (wastegate?)..not so by an ecu remap which is quite odd..
