yep found the grey one, (with green rubber) that was behind the inlet had fallen down...

also somebody said that the round one could be the speedo sensor from the gearbox.. its in that sort of place so going to check that

right a couple of things left then it should be ready to roll

on the coolant tank there is two pipes coming off it.

the one on the right hand side goes to radiator (i think or somewhere around there)]

but i dont know where the one on the left goes??? its a slightly smaller tube... it goes down below the tank somewhere just dont know where

also ive got another coolant pipe that comes out of the back of the block. i think it went into the throttle body, but not sure so that one is currently just hanging there. i can get some pics 2moro if need be..

sorry its a small pipe coming off a larger one that goes across the back of the block and into the engine in the top right corner (of the back of the block) the tube comes off of this pipe..

They go together

The small pipe thats comming from the back are normally going in one of the two brasses thats on the throttle body, and then the other brass on the throttle body to the small pipe brass on the coolant.

But as you've got a powerbox, simply extend the small pipe from the back, so it can reach the coolant bottle (without going through the throttle body)
- you can unscrew one of the copper brasses from the throttle body (afaik) and use that with 2x clamps to extend it with another coolant hose

when i turn the key this is what happens..

http://s235.photobucket.com/albums/ee31/b3an6030/?action=view&current=Video0078.flv

it doesnt actualy start just get a pop and bang every 5 secs or so when turning the key...

i had it running the other day. the only difference since then is, ive plug in the speedo cable, plugged in that pipe i was on about ^^

pluged in temp sensor

so no idea why its not working,

Sounds a little like when I was fitting my powerbox... It all came down to an air leak between the powerbox and the lower inlet manifold. But could be anywhere after the throttle body, as it would be unmetered air, and destroy the fuel/air-ratio.

Does it ever start? When I had the problem it could sometimes start, keep alive for 3-6 seconds or something (very humpy!) and then go out with a bang!

Then I had to wait some time before I could get it to start again, for some seconds only everytime though.

But inbetween the start-ups, it would only do pretty much like yours in the video.

i forgot the other day when i had it running the vaccum hoses were bodged together, duck tape and stuff.. now they have proper t' pieces.. i thought this would make it better! lol

at the moment it doesnt start at all.

im going to go double check all the hoses see if any have come off.. see if it starts then.

(it was running a couple of days ago)

You can see this video for the vac hoses using powerbox..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sujEtBzSUvY

And rocket cover vac should just be blanked off, or go into nothing

Huge rocket cover air pipe should get a filter on but I suppose u got that

1 should be blanked off, atleast I did. but going into the atmosphere should be fine aswell.

2. should have a small filter on it.

cool one of these do?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/18mm-Mini-Moto-Air-filter-K%26N-Oil-Cone-Breather-Blue_W0QQitemZ250450747993QQcmdZViewItem?rvr_id=&rvr_id=&cguid=97c99e5a1240a0e2033034b0ff5f1118

right with those things as they are atm.

1. atmosphere
2. open to atmosphere as well

that shouldnt stop it from starting should it?

you more than likely have got a air leak and a big enough one will stop it from starting.

Take the powerbox off again and re seal the powerbox and throttle body and leave them to dry.
Then make sure that the throttle body blanking plate is sealed properly.
Then make sure all wiring is plugged in correctly. Run a paper clip test to make sure.

right then re sealed stuff got a fault code of

0110 Intake Air Temperature Sesnor (ATS)

is that the sensor that goes in the tubing from the air box to the throttle body?

and if so its this one right?

does it plug into something? or does it go straight into the tube like that?

cheers

if i stick the rest of the parts on the car, lower arms, wheels bumper bonnet etc.

and then take it to a garage whats the chances of them being able to get it going?

ive had enough now, only really get 1 day a week to work on it, getting wet everyday waiting for the buss.. etc etc
