This is not a question whatever they gonna rub on the arches or not but a question what bad effects they gonna have on the car.
Thanks in advance.
Laze.

nothing really, just your tyre bill! oh, if your wheels are proud of your arches then theyre classed as illegal, sure they would affect handling too?

They will fit as normal, and as long as tracking and balancing is carried out correctly then the tyres will also be fine, BUT the further out from the standard offset, the less well the car will handle - and they will tramline - which if your not prepared for it - can be VERY dangerous as it snaps the steering towards one side, and may cause an accident. If your buying new, its best to get an exact or as close to correct offset as possible. I've got et45 on mine - and that seems alright, I had et42 before that, and that caught occasionly with groves in the road and dodgy surfaces - but the worst where a set of 15" ET38 wheels, i had to get rid of them because they tramlined so much!

Got 15" Superleggera's ET37 & no complaints with handling. Stick out a wee bit but look immense!

You might not get any complaints with handling now, but go out on a long drive on the motorways, and you'll feel it pull the steering wheel anyway it wants...

bull, if the wheels are balanced, spiggot ring'd, tyre pressures, tyre condition are good, and your tracking is spot on then you'll be fine

i had et35 on my corsa for two years, lowered 40mm, didnt shake snatch or anything either at low speed or flat out.

and as for tramlining, its is mainly caused due to the thickness of the tyre, and you'll find a car running 16's will tramline more than a car with 15's & wrong offset.

there is also no noticable adverse effect on cv joints.

car will also have a wider stance, and will look that bit better for it

i have a set of 15`s with ET35 offset and on a smooth road it is fine but if there are groves in the road it pulls all over i dont have power steering though so if you did it probably would not be as bad!

Here here Gambit, I drive 500 miles a week to get to uni & back up & down motorways & A class roads & dont have any complaints about the handling, apart from when you hit the bumpstops at speed!
