hi , the problem i have is my amp is powered-up all the time and stays in protection even when i remove the key, however the power seems to be running through the remote cable, the reason i think this is because when i remove the power cable, the protection light stays on. does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem might be. thanks.

Have you checked the earth is good enough? The remote cable should turn the amp off when you turn your headunit off.

Check remote wire is connected to the ignition live on the head unit.

And check it's earthed properly.
