ive got a 1.2 1997 "trip" and thinking bout getting an engine transplant maybe 1.6 so how much roughtly for a new/really good 2nd hand engine and fitting costs etc??

about 1k - 1500k for 1.6 transplant, but as said, just buy a 1.6 sport

i tell you what i.ll answer the real question...talk to mmv performance in stirling they just done mine and it cost £1800 although the engine they supplied already had cams in it so your probably lookin around the £1500 mark but talk to them mines is great you wouldn't even know it had been done and what a difference great job! www.mmvperformance.co.uk i think.  good luck1

can this transplant be done to a 1.0 12v? as i heard it was difficult due to different spedo and wiring loom or sumfin???
