hi i am about to put a redtop in my corsa i want to know what i could to to it and how much it would cost to get it to 200bhp

you want to add 40bhp (roughly 25% more power) cheaply on a N/A 20 year old engine, its not that easy

264dur cams, throttle bodies, headwork, decent ex manifold/system oh and a fresh xe not a 100k jobby, then u shud get about 200. Cost bout 3.5k al new parts, labour

i was thinking a full exhaust system high lift cams and a remap it can be far from 200 by the wy the engine got 80k on it

less weight = more power get stripping haha. with cams n system n chip u probably getting close to 200bhp per tonne. i fully rebuilt my redtop to try get near standard power of 147bhp before mods, suppose it all depends on the life your xe has had.

xe was std at 150bhp for later engine and 156 for earlier ones not 147

Prety sure later were 147, bt ahwel wouldnt notice anyway.

And wher have you got this idea of 50bhp gain from cams, system and remap, u may get about 15bhp tops, as proper pistons u cn only run shite lift cams. And if keeping stock inlet then ul neva get 200bhp!

yeah probly get near 170 bhp with them few mods, i was putting the 200bhp idea into perspective, i think a corsa at 900kg with 170 brake is close to 200bhp per tonne if u no what i meen mate.
