Look around for a second hand hydrovane compressor, they come up on ebay every now and then for a good price, they run almost silent and are perfect for spraying.
I've got a 500litre piston compressor at my workshop but this is what I use at home where space is a premium and noise levels must be kept down to prevent upseting the neighbours, wouldnt want the environment agency coming round while I'm painting 2K
502 Hydrovane on a 2.5KW motor slapped on a 25litre receiver:

Fills up in 10 seconds.

For a good deal on paint products speak to NuAgane ( http://www.body-shop-warehouse.co.uk/ ) always remember you get a much better deal making big orders as the postage for volatile chemicals isnt cheap.

240v but requires a master socket as it eats 13amp fuses for breakfast

You dont really have much of a choice as your compressor doesnt have a good enough CFM to run most guns.. Stick with small pickup guns to get started, they are actually easier to paint with too you just end up wasting most of the paint.
Spend your money on a decent carbon filtered mask, gunson are good and just get practicing..
When you have got the money invest in a hydrovane and a cheap DA + velcro head then buy a budget gravity gun to get some practice before you spend money on something expensive.

got the dvd yesterday & it has learned me quite a bit on prep work .. primering... & basecoat also clear coating, gun setup, mixing,& alot more

Hello Again..
Been getting a few quotes on paint, primer, lacquer, thinners this is all of the same guy off ebay..
cellulose paint >> 17.95 per litre
plastic primer >> 15.50 per litre
1k clearcoat >> 12.50 per litre
topgloss thinner for the paint >> 10.75
& they discount the postage down to 6.95 for anything under or 25 kilo's in weight
he said.. "you don`t need thinner for the lacquer or the plastic primer they are r.f.u." ..what does he mean r.f.u?
messaged him back as last time he said arden blue doesnt come in cellulose but it comes in a basecoat or something so waiting on the price of that now
what do use think any good? & has anyone got anymore tips for me going to order a few dvd tutorials off ebay as there only like £2.00 odd got to be worth a look at

i got this the other day mate, was doing something at my grandads so decided to just get everything and leave it there
right i have
arden blue paint-its a base paint yes, come out shiny with laquer
2k laquer
hardener
thinners
new un, a small one, cost me 22£, good for painting things like bumpers, mega easy to use
strainers (strain the paint out and better measurements)
mixing cups
i already had primer left around
ill post up some pics of things in the process of being done, not that you really need it
oh btw most places say you need to add 10% thinners to a laquer and hardener mix, add more like 2 percent or it gets very runnny

Best to work out what works the best for you.
Always use an air dry hardener as you dont have an oven, the more you put in the faster it will go off but you end up with shrink back but on the other hand if it takes ages to go off you can end up with a cloudy finish.
I normally go 2:1 paint:thinners then add activator by instinct alone depending on conditions etc. lol

Get the Lesonal mate.. Atleast you know you wont end up having to do it all again if the upol reacts. The recycled shitty plastic vauxhall make bumpers from is an arse to key.
