Hey all, I fitted my new JVC cd player today and took my old Sony one out. The sony worked fine, but when I put in the JVC, it doesn't power up. I put the sony back in to test the fuses, and it works fine. What could the problem be?

Swapped the yellow and red cables around?

Or maybe the fuse at the back of the cd player

Yeah it'll be on the new connector. For some reason Vaux put the battery live and ignition live the other way round to most companies so you need to swap the wires over.

if you swapped red/yellow wires and it still don't work, maybe you blew the ignition switch inside the CD player, to get around this, join the yellow and red wire together.

Shouldn't really make a difference if ignition is on though, Red is permanent and yellow is switched live. Both should be live with ignition on.
Have you checked the fuse on the back of the stereo?
What iso loom have you used?
