For the boss's wife, i just use cups linked by string to communicate.
She has just got an orange iphone, her old phone is a nokia 6300, all we are trying to do is put the numbers from the old phone onto the iphone.
for some reason the sims don't work in the other phone, and i can't get them to connect via bluetooth.
its a palava

My mate at work has had this exact same problem going from a Nokia to an iPhone. He still hasn't found a solution for it so I would be interested if anyone knows.
I didn't have this problem when I got my iPhone though, only difference was I had a Samsung before.

You should be able to import the contacts from the sim card (you need to save them on the sim card first) - iphone (Home > Settings > Mail,Contacts,Calendar > Import SIM Contacts).
Otherwise you can sync the Nokia to Outlook or Windows Contacts (you can on most newer models via the nokia software / or use something like MyPhoneExplorer. reqs data cable / bluetooth), then you can import the contacts into iTunes and sync the contacts to the iPhone.
Plenty of sites showing you how to transfer contacts between Nokias and iPhones, just need to google....

You'll spend more time trying to find a solution than it would take to enter all the numbers in manually more than likely.

Can you not synchronise your Nokia with your Outlook account? If not, Nokia fail.

That's because Nokia say thier phones have Bluetooth, but it runs off of thier own protocol making thier stupid phones incompatible with loads of hardware.
