Got a 2008 Dell XPS Laptop. Its running Vista.
The other month it crashed and basically wiped itself. Its a heap of shit.
I want to install Windows 7 on it, I have a Windows 7 disc from, when i updated my PC recently.
If i where to "aquire" a product code off a certain website, can i just use my discs to reinstall it after i delete the partitions?
Or once you use a disc does it explode like i nthe mission impossible films?
Sorry if this is an obv. question i ma bit of a n00b

You'll probably even get away with the same product key TBH (but don't hold me to that  )
Yeah as long as it's a retail key for the same version it'll work
