Hi there,
My x16xe seems to be drinking oil, about a litre in a week at it's worst, I'm only doing short trips at a time mind about 7 miles then 7 mine after about 3 hours. I'm using magnatec 10/40 and i've done a full oil change 1K ago.
I have noticed it's all over the engine bay and ontop of the gearbox, however I didn't have the breater covered due to having a inlet manifold fitted, I have just this morning attached a pipe and a bottle as a catch tank to see how much I get out and after a 15~ mile journey I have about 50ml of yellow sludge in the bottle is this normal?
Also is there anywhere else to look for an obvious oil leak? The crankcase has a lot of black "goo" around it, does it have a gasket that i should replace?
Also there is no smoke or tapping, runs perfectly with oil in and no blue smoke or white smoke when the engine is up to temperature.
Cheers Guys!

TBH I think the first thing I would do is clean all of the bay so you can see it all.
