Hi,
My Corsa's 1.4 litre 8v (Hi Torq) engine goes through occassional "bad patches", where it momentarily looses power when driving at a steady speed, and accelerates poorly. I've taken it to my local Vauxhall dealer several times, but this fault is extremely intermittant, and they've been unable to find anything wrong with it.
Someone suggested that the idle air control could be the cause, but the car idles at a steady 800rpm.
Has anyone got any suggestions as to what the problem is? If not, can you recommend a Vauxhall specialist in the Chemlsford area that I could take it to? I'd really like to take the car out with the roof down and enjoy the current weather, but it's a pig to drive at the moment.
