hi all im trying to change my springs on my gmaxx shocks but asoon as ive added dw40 its decent that its gona make the ratchet slip and round the shaft off

so does anyone know any ways of stoping the shaft moving so i can take the top nut off

put a spaaner around it and the youse a socket and rachet to hole the shaft from turning if you get what i mean

yeh i no how to do it mate just the bit where you put the spanner on the top is rounded abit

in that case mate id lift up the protective boot on the shock and put some tape around it so you dont damage the shaft and the put some mole grips through the spring and lock the shaft up where the tape is then you should be able to undo the top nut

If you've got vented discs, stick a bolt inbetween the gap in the caliper.

i used a set of mole grips on mine underneath it wont mark the shaft as its hardended then undo as normal ontop?

hes not trying to undo the drive shaft he wamts to undo the top shock bolt mate
