Bit odd realy just had my xe fully rebuilt. it runs perfect but sounds tappy not very loud but annoyig. Ive had new lifters and from cold its quiet as a mouse but once up to temp it goes a bit tappy. do lifters have to wear in??? any ideas much appreciated.

Iput 10 40 fully synthetis but then changed it to semi synth but still doin it

how many miles has it done? could be a lifter . wont be the oil if your useing 10/40.
check oil pressure too as if its running low when warm, that will cause them to tick abit.
