Any tips to taking them off without breaking any clips or bending the arches?

Not much you can really do, Its the plastic nuts being tight on the stud and the plastic holding the stud being weak.
I've had about 3 front right ones on my corsa, All ended up broken from being removed/refitted.

if there genuine vauxhall ones then they will fall appart on removal and if there cheap pattented one then just use a single hex 10mm socket and they will come off fine

Its normally the most stressed ones that break, Ones that go through the bumpers etc, Or ones with most crud on down the back.
I've always gone with ebay ones, Some (As fitted to my 12v) have been spot on and a perfect fit, While the ones on my silver sport are a pap fit.
