Hi Guys,

Thanks for taking the time to take a look at my thread. Thought I'd better find a little bit of time to sift through the vast amount of photos I've been collating lately and post a few for your enjoyment!

As per usual my day to day activities can be followed on Twitter and Facebook there's been a whole lot of maintenance again recently, along with a few cars I've been unable to post photos of. Also started on a couple of long term detailing projects that I'll post at a later date once completed.

For now though:

Golf R32

Booked for a 1 day enhancement detail. Enhanced with a 3M Extrafine / Ultrafina combo, glazed with Clearkote Red Moose Glaze, sealed with Chemical Guys Blacklight and topped with Zaino Z8.

Next up:

Mercedes E Class Estate

A car I have had on maintenance for a good couple of years now - never seen any paint correction, so is showing its fair share of swirls due to courtesy washes and the previous valeter This is now wearing it's fourth coat of Chemical Guys Blacklight and is regularly topped with Zaino Z8:

Jaguar S-Type R

Another booked for a 1 day enhancement detail, a very well kept car, but in need of a good de-contamination session, and a 1 stage machine polish to bring out the depth in the paintwork. Enhanced with the same 3M combo as the R32, glazed with Chemical Guys EZ Creme and sealed with Zaino Z2 / Z8.

Porsche Boxster S

Only the 1 photo that came out remotely well unfortunately! A protection detail on a new clients recent purchase. Thorough 3 stage decontamination process (Tardis, Iron X and Bilt Hamber clay) cleansed with Autosmart Platinum, glazed with Chemical Guys EZ Creme Glaze, topped with Zaino Z5 and Z8.

VW Polo

Some of you may remember this severely oxidised VW Polo from last month. This has been worked on amongst other bookings. Finally complete. Several hits with 3M Fast Cut Plus, Meguiars 83, glazed with Clearkote Red Moose and sealed with FinishKare FK1000P

Mercedes C Class

Carried out for a Clean Your Car forum member - another 1 day enhancement detail to improve on gloss levels and remove general hazing, improve on swirl levels. Enhanced with Scholl S17+, refined with Meguiars 205 and sealed with Bilt Hamber Auto QD (owner will be adding his own LSP soon) Forgot my camera so 2 poor Blackberry pics I'm afraid!

Toyota Aygo

A brand new car that the dealer made an absolute hash of on the PDI valet. Riddled in swirls - then told my client that paintwork with swirls is perfectly normal! Another 1 day enhancement. This time enhanced with Wolfs 'The Medium' refined with Meguiars 205 and topped with Bilt Hamber Finis wax. A very challenging detail due to the weather, but got there in the end.

(pre refinement: )

and finally:

TVR Sagaris

Another car on long term maintenance, and again never seen any form of paint correction. This gets used hard, and see's it's fair share of fast road / track use. Wheels proved a perfect test bed for Wolfs Brake Duster (which performed well, but is a bit too slow for my work routine) Wheels sealed with Zaino CS, paintwork protection topped up with Bilt Hamber Auto QD (a fantastic product) exhausts with Britemax twins etc.

Plenty of tasty cars booked in over the coming few weeks too, so will try and make the effort to post some 'proper' write ups soon too,

Thanks for looking,

Rich

Looks good. Do all your punters agree to you taking pic's & sticking bits of tape etc on to show off 50/50's to the internet?

I think i'd be going 'mate, i'm paying you like lots of dough for that....gonna just get on with it'

Or are they all cool?

Do you ask them 1st or just say its part of the correction? Do they ever say no?

Cheers, if you read the blurb in amongst the pics, I have worked on several cars of late that I wasn't able to take pics of

Most are fine with it and some even request it - in a lot of ways a lot of people now expect it as part of the 'service' - they'll keep it as part of the cars history etc - allows them to prove its been well looked after etc. I don't fanny around with a camera anywhere near as much as many others out there do - I spend 10 minutes tops above the time it takes me to complete the car with the camera.

Oh and the taped 50/50's are there more for me than anything - allows me to work in smaller sections at a time to ensure I don't miss a bit (easier to do than you may think ) and allows me to see what sort of correction levels are being achieved.

Cheers y'all. Sagaris is an awesome bit of kit, but I still don't like how poorly put together it is (I know that's how all TVR's are, but still!)

Bonney - yeh new van Will post a couple of pics when I get it signwritten or something. Not had time yet!

Did you leave the Sagaris ticking over while working on it??

Damn right i would have just to listen to the noise, even if i did need to put my own fuel in it.lol.

Awesome work though.

I like your threads.

Couple of before pics, and a couple of after pics to show the results rather than lots of the same area but at different angles.
