I have a 1993 1.2 8 valve, quite a few mods handling wise but there's abit of rot and rust knocking about. A friend of a friend is selling a supposedly (haven't seen it yet) mint 1998 16 valve shell with a fucked engine.
Was thinkin of gettin the shell and transferring all my parts, engine box coilovers wheels etc onto the newer mint shell. Question is how hard is it to put the 8v engine in the 16v shell?? What parts do I use if it's possible??
Thanks

the 1.2 16v are different to the 1.2 8v
wiring side of things is different, wont just be plug and play.

If you took your time and stripped it back to the shell then it would be easy, dash loom and everything would need changing but it's possiuble;

Just repair or replace the 16v imo, Insurance would see the 8v conversion the same as any other. Plus the 16v will do more mpg probs.

Just because it's the working engine I have, and the 16v shell I was lookin at is rot free apparently
