lg slightly in front, apple catching quickly, if nto already caught. not bad considering they only sell 2 phones

i think they rested on their laurels, assumed that people would always by a nokia, as they had always had nokia, and no doubt, there's people that do, and they suit a vast portion of the population.
however in their simplicity is complexity, my 16 month old can use on iphone, give her a blackberry/other non touch screen device and she gets bored within 30 seconds of holding it to her ear

I bet a huge amount of Nokias are business/company issue phones, reliable simple workhorses that cost buttons and anyone can use straight out of the box.
Do you think Apples place in the top 3 is remarkable because they only have two models or precisely because of that?

Because everyone else has a huge range of phones, many of which are pretty similar, it's hard to tell which is the best one to get whereas people know where they are with an iPhone.
Or do you think it's more a case of clever marketing and building the brand?

It's a good phone + a massive dose of clever marketing.
Are the people who need apple to tell them they invented the phone not a bit simple?
It's not that difficult to tell what the top model of phone is from other brands, as you go down the range the waters do get a bit muddied though.

i got the galaxy s2 thursday and i must say its amazing most apps are free unlike apple, screen is amazing and its very fast defo best phone to get
