Hi,
Im looking to do this conversion and came across a good guide on how to do it. But one of the parts that is needed is a Corsa B 1.5TD front pipe?? Why is this? Is the manifold different from my 1.7 diesel one or what is the problem there?
Thanks.

you need the front pipe to match up to exhaust section thats attached to the turbo, your standard exhaust goes straight to the manifold.

Have you a picture of what needs done then? I have the exhaust bit of the 1.7td would that not do?
This 1.7td conversion isnt as easy as its made out to be lol.

Found this in a thread too:
use a 1.5 td flywheel box and shafts.. you will need to grind abit off the back off the 1.7td block to fit the mount.. i would use the 1.7td down pipe is its a bit bigger bore.. and have a custom exhaust. you want to be at least 2 1/4 bore if your running high boost.
you will also need to use a 1.5 oil filter beacause the 1.7 one gets in the way

as above thats what i did when i converted my old 1.5td to a 1.7td but my current one is using the gearbox spacer and a F16 gearbox with gsi shafts and cav inner cv joints, i can get you a picture tomorrow of my exhaust if you like but mine has a custum exhaust from the turbo back

thats why you need the 1.5td downpipe so it can connect to the turbo elbow
