hi
When i start my 2000 corsa b 1.2 16v the engine management light to the very left of the dash display does not extinguish, but if left or if revved goes off, this only happens very occasionly, is it a major problem as the car stil drives as brilliantly as it always has??
cheers

it could be a whole number of things. the first place to start would be getting a diagnostic check from a garage. if it still runs fine then i wouldnt worry too much

Cheers, i havent worried too much as it still runs fine and it only lights up for very brief periods of time, ill most probably get it diagnostic checked by someone i know and see what that reveals, thanks again!

does it go when you sitch the engine off then back on, mine does this very rarely only problem is it doesn't save the code so i don't think its worth taking it to a garage

i shall check all of the elctrical connections as apparently this light has something to do with electricals, and just generally keep an eye on the engine to see if anything strange occurs, cheers

My frinds does this and when he hammers his car it goes off :s he says it could be the air flow meter ? But now his idea is heading towards the lamda sensor as that looks dodgey :L
